NY Botanical Garden, Bronx (5 miles)

The New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx is gorgeous - let’s go see it on free-admission Wednesday!

START: Meet at 10:30am at MOSHOLU ENTRANCE. Go directly to the ticket booth to get free admission ticket (grounds-only). After you get your ticket, find the walk leader on the park side of the ticket booth. Walk begins promptly at 10:45am.

END: End time is about 2:30pm’ish approximate. The end time is not exact. The walk ends at the same place as our meeting spot. (Walkers are welcome to stay in the garden longer on their own, of course!)

DISTANCE: approx 5 miles

Important: We are meeting at the Mosholu entrance.

PACE: Moderate walking pace. This is not a fast-paced walk, but walkers should be willing & able to keep up with a moderate pace and be comfortable with hills & stairs throughout the walk.

TERRAIN: Hills & stairs on route. Variety of paths: paved, packed dirt, loose gravel, mulch.

FOOD: Bring water & food. We will stop for one short snack break - bring your own.

RESTOOMS at meeting location, 1-mile mark, 4-mile mark, and end location.

WEATHER POLICY: Check the forecast & dress for the weather. In case of iffy weather, hike leader will post a comment on this Meetup page by 7:30am on the day of the hike with hike status.
