If you are participating in the Great Saunter Fall Challenger from October 1-16, finishing this walk will account for about 11 miles of your 32 - mile goal. You do not have to be participating in the Challenger to join the walk - all members are welcome.

Our walk is 11 miles and 4 1/2 hours from Manhattan across Brooklyn Bridge to Brooklyn and walk-through Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Sunset Park (Industry City) Bay Ridge (Festival).

Moderate to Brisk Pace. (Walking along the streets Brisk Pace) Many dropout points.

The festival is a all-day event with rides, games, prizes, live music, shopping, dining & attractions throughout the - 25 - block span.

Meet: 10:00am on the Manhattan side of Brooklyn Bridge entrance (Centre Street). We will begin our walk at 10:15am. Take 4, 5 or 6 to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop or J /Z train to Chambers or N/R train City Hall walk 2 Blocks

Walk:
We will start at Manhattan entrance to walk Brooklyn Bridge with beautiful views. Walk over to Brooklyn Bridge Park for first restroom stop. Will continue up the ramp to Brooklyn Heights Promenade views of New York.

Stop for lunch (20 minutes) at the Promenade and take in the sites. After lunch continue walking the Promenade exit out of the park next restroom. Walk through Brooklyn Heights to Montague St on to Clinton St Historic Streets. Cobble Hill Park side streets on to Court Street, check out Cobble Hill Movie Theater, Chocolate Room, many old & new shops of Cobble Hill Neighborhood. Carroll Gardens (Louis Valentino Ballpark). Restroom stop. F/G Trains nearby.

Leaving Court Street walk along 3rd avenue to Sunset Park (Industry City) 34th Street. Nearby Subway: 36th Street and 4th Ave R & N/D Trains. Our walk will continue on along the streets and we will stop at Owl's Head Park (68th St) entrance in Bay Ridge for our last restroom stop.

We continue walking on towards 70th Street & 3rd Ave for Bay Ridge 49th Annual Third Avenue Festival (25 blocks) Festival Starts.

Subway station: R train avaiable which you can change at 36th street for D, B, N trains.

Bring lunch, sunscreen, and water.
