Historical Newark Mural Art Walk (Final date TBD-24 or 25)

Final date TBD — reply with which works for you: Dec 24 or Dec 25. I’ll confirm the date on the evening of 12/21, so everyone stays on the waiting list for now.

Distance: 14-15 miles (7.5m + 7.5m), on flat trails and roads. This is a moderate walk at a pace of 2.5+ mph.
There are drop-out points around 7.5-mile mark, where you can take a bus back to the starting point. Please have the NJ Transit app ready or bring exact change for the fare.

Join Us for a Mural and History walk through Downtown Newark!
Explore the vibrant streets of downtown Newark, covering neighborhoods such as the Central Business District, University Heights, Springfield-Belmont, West Side, and South Broad Street. This hike will showcase over 50 diverse mural artworks that adorn the city's walls, each telling its own unique story. Along the way, we'll also visit notable historical sites and enjoy the waterfront views of the Passaic River and the Dock Bridge, which is a significant part of the Gateway Program aimed at improving regional rail connections.
