Steve suffered and injury to his arm and will not be able to lead this walk. I will lead instead, following roughly the same route as Steve would have gone. We will meet at the same place and time, with some minor changes to the walk description. -Gerry Matusiewicz

Join us on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge for a memorable 5-mile hike, crossing the iconic bridge and venturing into Brooklyn Bridge Park. The exploration will proceed at a moderate pace, allowing everyone to appreciate the greenery and activities within the park. There will be commentary on some of the buildings and sights in the park. We will explore piers 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Marina and leave the park at Atlantic Avenue. We will visit the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and end with lunch at a Chinese Restaurant near Brooklyn Borough Hall where you can catch a 2, 3, 4, 5 or R train.

Participants should meet at 9:15 AM on the benches outside the 4-5-6 Brooklyn Bridge subway stop in Manhattan, directly across the street from the Municipal Building, not far from the Brooklyn Bridge walkway.

Guests are welcome to join; members bringing guests should ensure that each guest signs the waiver available at <https://tinyurl.com/c2pyf2t5>. The waiver operates on an honor system—no verification is required.
