Duck Hunt on the Delaware: Finding Yardley’s Colorful Quackers

Distance: 10 miles
We’ll start our hike in Trenton, crossing the Delaware River into Pennsylvania to walk along the Delaware Canal Towpath all the way to Yardley. Along the way, we hope to catch the seasonal Canal-o-Ween pumpkin carvings displayed beside the canal, and once in Yardley, we’ll visit the town’s six giant painted duck mascots and a few colorful murals.
Meeting point: Trenton Station.
From New York, take the 9:19 AM train arriving 10:49 AM in Trenton.
Return: Take the 3:33 PM SEPTA train from Yardley to West Trenton (6 minutes), then NJ Transit Bus #608 back to Trenton Station (14 minutes), and transfer to NJ Transit train back to NYC.
