Did you know that St. Paddy's green beer was invented in the Bronx? Join me for a walking history tour of the Irish in the Bronx, where we will discover remnants of the past and see modern thriving Irish neighborhoods — all just in time for St. Patrick’s Day!
This walk will be approximately 15 miles and ends in Yonkers.
We will walk through the following areas and stop to view points of interest along the way:
• Mott Haven
•Morrisania
• Highbridge
• University Heights
• Kingsbridge
• Woodlawn
Bring lunch, snacks and water. Heavy rain cancels.
Meet 11:00am at the 125th Street Metro-North Station in Harlem. We'll take a short walk into the Bronx. The walk ends on McLean Ave in Yonkers with the 2 train and Metro-North a short walk away.
