Coney Island to Rockaways

CONEY ISLAND to ROCKAWAYS
We begin our walk at Coney Island walking along the boardwalk past Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach across the Gil Hodges Bridge to the Rockaways ending at the A train on 116th Street (or the NY Water taxi). Approximately 14-15 miles. There is an added 1mile optional walk at the start. Some elevated sections. We meet outside Coney Island Subway station (N, Q, D, F trains) at the corner of Stillwell Ave and Surf Ave. Meet at 9:15 for a prompt 9:30 start. Please note: Brisk, steady pace. Use restrooms at the subway station. Limited rest stops. Bring snacks and water. Rain cancels. Hike leaders: Elizabeth Campbell & Jack McCleland.
