In Celebration of National Poetry Month: Poetry in NYC Part 1
In this series of walks we will explore some of the spots past and present associated with poetry in NYC and read poems. We will meet up in front of the Hotel Chelsea 222 W. 23rd between 7th and 8th (near the 1, C, E, F trains) and end at Chambers Street (E, C, 1,2,3 trains). Approximately 7 miles. Limited brief rest stops. Although we will be stopping to read poems and discuss spots, this is an active walk, with a steady pace and few opportunities to rest or sit. Bring snacks and water, and if you have a favorite poem by yourself or another. We will reschedule if the weather is uncooperative. Meet at 1045 for a prompt start at 11, Finish approximately 3.
