Philly Industrial Past & Cherry Blossom Walk
Details
Distance: 12 miles
Pace: Steady (approx. 2.5–3 mph) — not suitable for slow walkers
Join us for a spring walk through Philadelphia, blending cherry blossoms, city culture, and riverside paths. We’ll pass Center City, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Fairmount Park, then continue along the Schuylkill River Trail. Along the way, we’ll also explore remnants of the abandoned Reading Railroad, including old rail alignments and hidden tunnels.
We’ll wrap up at 30th Street Station, where you can choose your way home.
- Please bring your own lunch and enough water.
Meet Point 1:
9:46 AM at Trenton Transit Center – North Lobby
We’ll take the 9:59 AM SEPTA train to Philly.
Meet Point 2:
11:00 AM outside Jefferson Station, at the North 11th Street entrance.
End Point: 30th Street Station
From here, you can:
- Take SEPTA + NJ Transit back to NYC
- Or walk about 1–2 extra miles back into Center City to catch PATCO to Camden, then hop on the NJ Transit River Line light rail to Trenton—minimal walking after that, with a scenic ride across the Delaware River and through Camden’s historic district.
