It's festival season and while I may be biased, one of the best is the Jersey City Jazz Festival held on the Hudson River waterfront with Manhattan as its backdrop.

Let's use it as an opportunity to see what's happening in several JC neighborhoods, starting in Journal Square, heading north into the Heights before meandering downtown to end on the festival grounds.

We'll visit:
The historic Loew's Theater currently under renovation, Reservoir #3 in the Heights that reopened in 2024 after a 30 year closure, Pershing Field Park whose grounds were used for WWI training, Riverview Fisk Park, home of the original Jersey City Jazz Festival in 2013 and OF COURSE, lots of street art along the way.

We'll assemble underground at the Journal Square Path station to use restrooms before starting. Moderate pace with several restroom stops but NO LUNCH BREAK. Bring water, snacks & sunscreen as appropriate.
Walk ends at the Exchange Place PATH station which is also where the festival is located.

In addition to an awesome Jazz line-up on 3 rotating stages, the festival will have food trucks and art vendors.

Guests welcome but waiver must be signed to attend: WaiverSign

On day of walk TEXT ONLY to 917-847-9014 (phone calls will bounce - do NOT leave voice mail).
