Discover some of Midtown Manhattan’s most surprising water features on this walk through the heart of the city. We’ll begin at the elegant Pulitzer Fountain and make our way through a series of hidden gardens, cascading waterfalls, fountains, and reflecting pools.
Along the way, we’ll visit the tranquil Ford Foundation, the sculptural fountains of the New York Public Library, and other unexpected urban oases. We'll end among the art and sculpture at MoMA’s Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden where we can relax and enjoy a cold drink, coffee or glass of wine.

You'll be amazed by how water, architecture, and gardens transform some of the busiest parts of Midtown into places of beauty and tranquility. And we guarantee you'll learn a secret or two along the way!

Meet: On the benches behind the Pulitzer Fountain at 58th & Fifth Avenue. Use the restrooms across the street at the Apple Store (downstairs) or in Bergdorf Goodman (downstairs, on the beauty level, in the back).

Bring: water and lunch/snack. We'll stop midway for lunch; however, there won't be enough time to purchase food.
Entry is free to the Ford Foundation and MOMA's Garden. You will need an ID to enter the Ford Foundation, and we will pass through a security check at both.

** This walk is part of our Suggest-A-Walk series and was researched and planned by Lynn Hamlin and Janet Ross, who will be sharing highlights along the route.
