Who wants to join us in taking in endless spectacular views, while enjoying a good hike, ending it with some FAN FREAKIN TASTIC Dominican 🇩🇴 food over at Malecon at W175 & Broadway?! YES—THEY HONOR SEPARATE CHECKS‼️😆✨🤸‍♀️

Take the Great Saunter Fall Challenge! Register here to walk 32 miles over 16 days, starting October 3rd. Help Shorewalkers support our parks by donating $10 to participate, with all fees going to the Riverside Park Conservancy . This walk will count for 12 of your total miles!

Meeting Point:
We will meet on the 3rd Floor of the GW Bridge Port Authority Bus Station waiting area at 9:45AM—we take off at 10:00AM.

Details:
We will cross over the GW Bridge. Head into the Palisades Interstate Park and crossing into Burdetts Landing, that will take us onto the Shore Trail. We will take this up to the Englewood Boat Basin area and we will head back towards the Ross Dock Picnic area, climb up the Carpenter’s trail, which boasts elevation gain: hikers’ GPS recordings show roughly 380–390 feet of cumulative climbing, which aligns closely with the official 320-foot cliff ascent/descent. This will take us onto the Long Path looping U.S. back over to the NJ side of the GW Bridge.

POINT TO POINT THIS WALK IS ABOUT 12 MILES.

Optional:
For those who wish to join us at Malecon after we cross over the GWB, take a look at the menu here

ℹ️ 📝 For those who wish to stay on the NJ side, there’s bus 🚌 158 that has bus stops all along the route on River Road you could take as it would take you back over to the GW Bridge bus 🚌 station.

ℹ️ 📝 For those who wish to walk back over the GW Bridge with me, we’ll walk back over and catch the A train or the 1 train from W181.
