Hiking boots or sturdy trail shoes with good traction are recommended. Some trails may be uneven, muddy, or slippery with fallen leaves, particularly after rain.
Trekking poles are optional but recommended for anyone who appreciates additional stability on hills, uneven ground, or leaf-covered trails.
Dress in layers appropriate for November weather. Bring water, lunch or snacks.
LIMITED RESTROOMS. We will stop at the Rockefeller Preserve Restrooms, about halfway through the walk. Please use restrooms on train or before you join us.
### Returning to Manhattan
We plan to finish in Tarrytown, where those who would like can enjoy refreshments or a meal before taking Metro-North back to Grand Central Terminal.
