Jersey City Mural Tour

Jersey City has a wonderful Mural Arts Program underwritten by the city's cultural affairs council under Mayor Steven Fullop, representing over 100 installations dispersed throughout the city. We will wander through 6 neighborhoods and see over half of these (and may even run into some not yet on the map!).

Meet Up Time is 10:00am at the Grove Street Path station & we will begin the walk promptly at 10:15am. If you are detained, please email hike leader for where to join the walk in progress.

Walk Length is ~9 miles with drop off points at mile 5 (West End Ave Light Rail) & mile 7 (Journal Square Station, forgoing last loop & lunch).

End Time is approximately 3:00pm in Little India on Newark Avenue with dozens of delicious restaurants to have a bite to eat including a wonderful Taqueria & more.

Our walk will begin at the Grove Street Path station in the Historic Downtown area and travel through Hamilton Park, Van Vorst Park, Communipaw, Bergen Lafayette, McGinley Square and Journal Square areas.

Path Trains from Manhattan to Grove Street run from 2 routes: 1 beginning at 33rd Street and the other from WTC. Visit http://www.panynj.gov/path/full-schedules.cfm for schedules and times.
