4 Mile Walk to Bronx River Alliance Community Banquet

Join Shorewalkers on a 4 mile walk along the Bronx River Greenway on November 4, 2023 at 10am. The walk will end at Concrete Plant Park at approx. 12 noon where we join our friends from the Bronx River Alliance at their 2nd Annual Community Banquet. Everyone welcome!

Meet:
Meet outside of Pelham Parkway Subway Station (trains #2 & #5) in front of TD Bank. Use exit Pelham Pkwy South & White Plains Road SW corner.
We will start our walk at 10am.

Walk:
Moderate paced 4 mile walk exploring interesting sites along the Bronx River Greenway, which the Bronx River Alliance tirelessly protects, improves and restores for the local communities and everyone to enjoy. Highlights:

• Bronx Park Connector
• River Park fish ladder
• Bronx River Arts Center
• Bronx River House at Starlight Park
• new Starlight Park east side walkway

We’ll finish the walk at Concrete Plant Park where the 2nd Annual Community Banquet organized by the Bronx River Alliance will be taking place between 12-4pm. Hang out in the park and check out a wide range of community activities:
demonstrations, tasting opportunities and much more by NYC based foragers, chefs, cooks, artists, and stewards of the land

Bring lunch and water. Bathrooms along the way.

Option: For those who want to do even more walking later in the afternoon and see more of the Bronx River, we will continue the walk for another 4 miles to Soundview where you can either take a bus back to the Bronx or the ferry to Manhattan.
