Georgia O’Keeffe lived and painted in New York from 1918 to 1946. She was excited by the city rising before her and painted many of the buildings rising as she observed from her home in the the Shelton Hotel, the tallest residential building in the United States.

Starting from the former Shelton Hotel located on Lexington Ave. and 48th Street, we will visit the buildings and sites that she painted from her home in the Shelton to the Brooklyn Bridge in this 7-mile walk.

Bring lunch and liquid.

Meet at the Hugh Bldg. at 53rd st. and Lexington Ave. Meet at the bottom of the steps by the waterfall. Take MTA trains E, M, to Lexington and 53rd Street. No. 6 train to Lexington and 51st. Street.
