What we’re about
Our purpose is to have frequent, casual, energetic hiking events that fit easily into busy lives. Many of our hikes range from 5km to 10km, within 1.5 to 2 hours. We stick (mostly) to established well-groomed trails so we can keep the pace lively. Sometimes we breathe hard climbing and descending large hills challenging ourselves. We enjoy nature, watching the seasons change and embracing the additional challenge this brings. Besides all the physical benefits hiking provides, we aim to have fun, enjoy good conversation while building friendships along the way.
There will usually be a few hikes per week, somewhere around Scarborough, Pickering, Ajax, Uxbridge, Oshawa and Bowmanville. We'll often have weekend hikes that are a little longer (sometimes MUCH longer) and sometimes travel much further if there's an adventure to be had.
Also see our current Rules and Liability Waiver as part of your participation.
That's about it! If you have any questions, please contact somebody in the leadership team.

- 2:00 pm Sunday Wilder Forest Medium to Medium/Fast Pace 2hrs2499 Brock Rd, Uxbridge, ON
This will be a medium to medium/fast hike. Distance 9 km in approximately 2 hours. Hiking speed 5.5k/hour. The pace will be adjusted based on the needs of the group and the weather.
There aren’t any very steep hills on this hike but you will be going up some long gradual hills, some steeper short hills, and hiking over different terrain (through meadows, the woods, etc).
There are currently no parking fees for this lot.
If you have not been to this parking lot before, double check your route before leaving. We share the driveway with the Pathways on Pleasure Valley Horse Stables - continue down the driveway and you will see our parking lot on the right. We leave on time (2:00 pm). There is no penalty for being late, just know we leave on time and it would be difficult with this location to figure out which routes to take in order to catch up to us. Please leave yourself extra time to get to the hike, especially if you have not been to this location before.
Bring 1L of water and long pants (at your own discretion). You need proper hiking footwear and must be surefooted.
