🏞️ Silent Lake Prov. Park ( Bancroft ): 15 km Lakeshore 🥾 Trail

Silent Lake PP is about 30 km south of Bancroft. Daily Vehicle Permit (DU1) $ 12.25 total is good for a single day and includes entry of one vehicle and its occupants. Our physically demanding five hour / 15KM circular Trek will begin promptly from the day use beach Lakeshore Trail trailhead. This rugged wilderness trail winds around a picturesque lake situated within the rocky, undulating Canadian Shield, and passes through vast forest sections, as well as,wetland ‼️⚠️NOTE WELL: this is a moderately challenging hike and solid physical conditioning is essential The pace will be about 4.5 km / hr. and adjusted to ensure the well-being of participants and to be responsive to ambient temperature. Have 2L WATER (hydration ); a healthy, delicious packed lunch; layered clothing 😄 ;Footwear with solid traction; trekking poles / snacks ( optional ). Mid way through the hike we will stop for a 🌮🥛🍎Lunch at scenic lookout. Come with plenty of good cheer.
