GLEN MAJOR : Three Rocks : SNOWSHOE event

NEED valid day pass $6- / annual Trail Permit -$75 to access trail system. Failure to have a valid permit will result in a parking fine of $45. Permits can be payed online by scanning a QR Code posted on a sign found in the parking lot. Please purchase permit online at least 15 minutes in advance of the start of this event. Trails are traversable preferably with snowshoes … with a current snowbase of close to 20 inches of fresh powder snow. Hills are numerous with long ascents and descents …hence you’ll experience a wicked workout. Pace will be roughly 4 km/ hr with a distance of roughly 10 km+ covered ....but adjusted to comfort, enjoyment and wellbeing of everyone. There will be plenty of opportunity to breath in the fresh forest air, as well as, to appreciate all the sights and beauty of nature. Have with you a min. of 1L water, layered clothing , a pair of personal snowshoes, Snowgaiters, snacks /lunch, solid treaded footwear, and trekking poles ( optional ). Outhouses are on site.
