Never swung a club? Perfect. You’re our favorite kind of member.
Most golf clubs are about handicaps and hushed voices—the Short Game Social Club is about fresh air and new friends. We’ve stripped away the rules, the expensive gear, and the 'pro' attitude to create a neighborhood social that just happens to take place on a golf course. Whether you’re here to actually learn the game or you’re just here for a scenic walk with a club in your hand, you belong here. No experience required, no gear needed, and zero judgment guaranteed.

The Short Game Social Club is perfect for players looking for a neighborhood social rather than a serious round of golf. We’re trading stuffy etiquette for a laid-back vibe where the conversation matters way more than the scorecard. The best part? You don’t even need your own gear to join!

This is a “come as you are” outing designed for anyone looking to decompress in the park and meet new faces. Whether you’re trying your very first swing or just want to trade the pavement for the grass after a lap around the lake, join us in making Green Lake Pitch & Putt our own backyard social club.

### What to Expect at a Social Club Outing:

  • Check-in at the Pro Shop: When you arrive, just let us know you’re with the Social Club. We’ll get you set up with a ball and a set of rental clubs (included!).
  • The 60-Minute Round: We play a relaxed 9 holes. It usually takes about an hour—the perfect amount of time to get to know your group.
  • Sneakers are Golden: No golf shoes? No problem. Just wear your favorite comfortable sneakers or flat-soled shoes. Sometimes the course can be a little wet so make sure you wear shoes that can get a little muddy.
  • Zero Scorecards (Unless you want one): We focus on the "Small Game" and big conversations. Scoring is entirely optional.

We are so excited to have you join us on the green! If you’ve never been to the Green Lake Pitch & Putt or never picked up a club, don’t sweat it—most of us are in the same boat. Here is everything you need to know for your first Monday outing:

1. The Arrival (5:15 PM – 5:30 PM) When you arrive at the park, head straight to the Pro Shop window. Just tell the staff: "I'm here for the Short Game Social Club."

2. Grab Your Gear The Pro Shop team will get you set up with your ball and a set of rental clubs. Rentals are included in your $18 club fee, so you don’t need to bring a thing. If you’ve never held a club before, just ask! We’ll show you the "two-minute grip" right there. If you are someone who likes to prepare ahead of time, check out this page.

3. The Pairing (5:30 PM) Once you have your clubs, head to the practice green right next to the Pro Shop. You can practice your putting here while we wait for everyone to arrive.. At 5:30 PM sharp, we will pair everyone up into groups of 3 to 5.

  • Note: We pair people intentionally so you’ll get to meet new faces every week. If you’re coming with a friend, let us know and we’ll make sure you stay together!

4. Tee Off Groups will head to the first tee in 6-minute intervals. It’s a relaxed 9-hole walk that takes about an hour. We focus on the conversation, the lake views, and the occasional lucky shot.
