Do you love short stories? Are you short on time to read entire books, but you still enjoy book discussions? If so, this is the group for you! Before each meetup, I'll provide links to the short story (or stories) we'll be discussing, or provide you with information on how to get it. The meetups themselves will be held in the spacious amenities area of my building, where we discuss the story over a potluck meal. Looking forward to meeting you and hearing your insights!

"The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson
The Edmund, 2025 Fulton Pl, Reston, VA, USFor our inaugural event, we'll be discussing "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson, a story I've read numerous times in futile attempts to make sane the insanity it describes. You can read the story online for free.
Please bring a food item to share, since we'll be eating potluck style. I'll provide cups, plates, utensils, and napkins. As an organizer, I pay $180 every 6 months to use the Meetup platform, so please also bring $2 to help defray this cost.
I live right above Wegmans, in Reston. The apartment building is called "The Edmund." You can safely park at Wegmans. Let's meet by the Wegmans food court on the first floor, and from there, I'll bring everyone into my apartment building, and we'll go up to the fourth floor together.
