November's short story : The fruit of my woman by Hang Kang

Dear all,
November's short story is Hang Kang's "The fruit of my woman".
This year's Nobel prize nominee, wrote this short story back in 1997, ten years before publishing her famous novel The Vegetarian. The short story is a precursor of the novel and I would love to share our thoughts and opinions on it. (If anyone has read the vegetarian too, it might be interesting to also talk a bit about the relationship of the two texts).
