Week 3: Selected Stories by the Society Begins

Now that we have a dependable group of readers, for week 3 we will start including readings selected by everyone! If you'd like to provide any stories, they doesn't have to fit within any specific theme, genre, time period, worldview, whatever—think of work that connects with you for any reason.

Don't overthink length. If the collective page count of all submissions exceeds a reasonable number of pages to ask people to read for one meeting (I'd say about 30-50 total, depending on how dense the reading is), some stories will just be held over for the next one. That said, if you have a lot of stories in mind, don't hesitate to send them all. They'll be dealt with in time!

If you know the author / short story you'd want to suggest but don't have access to it, let me know and I'll see if I can find it online or at a library.

Also, if you're a member on the meetup but haven't made it to any meetings yet, feel free to send over story suggestions, as well.

Aiming to send the batch of readings as early as possible—hopefully no later than September 1st—so please keep that in mind.
