This month's General Members Meeting is an important one for two reasons:

  1. We will be electing the 2024 Board.

  2. We will be providing to you information about the Tourism Improvement District Assessment. This is an assessment of 1% on your short term rental income that came into effect on January 1, 2024. This means you need to be charging this to your guests and remitting it to San Francisco's Treasurer and Tax Collector.

We have already prepared an online tutorial on how you can add this to your Airbnb listing so it will be automatically charged to guests. We will be going through this at the January 11 meeting and answering any questions you may have. We will also explain how to remit this amount to the Tax Collector.
