I'm looking to enjoy short trips away, mostly abroad, with like-minded people.
I will be the group co-ordinator to help keep things rolling along during the trip and to answer any questions in the leadup. I will book my own travel and accommodation arrangements sufficiently in advance so that those who wish to come on the trip will either be able to book based on my choices or suitable alternatives according to your own budget. I will suggest an itinerary for the time there which fellow travellers are welcome to take part in as much or little as they wish.
In other words, each traveller is fully responsible for their own holiday. I will be there as a focal point to help unite the group socially and practically as much as is reasonable. This of course will be made simpler if we are all travelling together and staying in the same accommodation, such as a hostel, or at least in the same locality. I will almost certainly put together a Whatsapp group for the trip to help co-ordinate.
I am starting this group for two reasons. Firstly, I enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences. Secondly, I am hoping to work as a group tour leader myself in 2026 and feel this would be great experience.
I will not be taking or asking for any money from anyone for my role as co-ordinator. Nor will I be taking tips or gifts. Your company and openness to engage with the rest of the group are all I request.
I welcome diversity in all its forms and all age groups, above 18.
The first trip will be to Budapest in October, a city I have visited on my own already twice this year.
