Hey, folks! Sean H. has a lot of ideas for symposiums, so he will be leading this discussion! I’m very excited to hear all the different perspectives!!

"Human beings experience and remember in the form of stories: stories carried from the past, handed down by family and culture, absorbed from the world around us, or quietly written by fear, pain, joy, and hope.

At this Symposium, we will ask what stories we are living, what our roles in them look like, and if the shape of each narrative still serves us. Together, we will experiment with new lenses, create simple rituals for connecting with the story we are living now, and reclaim the pen when that story no longer fits to write something new. We may revise the plot, change the genre, invent a personal mythology, or write something stranger, lighter, and more alive. When we are no longer solely bound to the pages of inherited and unchosen narratives, life no longer only happens to us. We become authors again, and perhaps even have some fun with the draft.

We will meet at the shelter near the dog park at Happy Hollow (not the main entrance to the park - the dog park is downhill from it!). Bring your own coffee or beverage of your choice."
