About us
We started this group because we love snowboarding, but we also want to understand the science of the mountains. Whether it is analyzing weather patterns, discussing avalanche safety and snowpack stability, or just geeking out over board mechanics and terrain physics, we are looking for like-minded riders who want to be more informed about what is happening under their feet. Our goal is to balance time on the mountain with thoughtful discussions that help us all be safer and smarter riders.
The format here is pretty informal. We will get together to session the mountain and then grab a drink or a bite afterward to talk through what we observed or to go over some technical reading. You do not need to be an expert to join, just curious about the environment and looking for a community that enjoys learning as much as shredding. If you are interested in deepening your connection to the sport and meeting a solid crew to ride with, we would love to have you join us.
