Hi everyone! My name is Gao Na.

I studied Business English during my undergraduate years, spent one year in New York City in an English language program, and later completed a Master’s degree in Italy. Living and studying abroad has given me a strong interest in cross-cultural communication and helping people feel confident using language in real-life situations.

Shanghai is an international city where visitors can usually manage with English, but without some basic Chinese it is easy to miss many everyday experiences and local connections. My goal is to help foreigners communicate more comfortably — whether for daily life, travel, or business.

I work as an independent language tutor and offer paid, personalized lessons and language support. This is not a language exchange; sessions are professional and tailored to your needs. In addition to English tutoring, I can also assist as a sightseeing companion or interpreter for business trips, and help you set up and use essential local apps so you can navigate life in China more easily.
