Join us on Friday 28th November 2025 for a guided hike up Moel Famau — the “Mother Mountain” of Wales. Standing proudly at 554m, it’s the highest summit in the Clwydian Range, crowned with the striking and historic Jubilee Tower at its peak.
We’ll follow a 6.5 km (4 miles) waymarked route that’s perfect for beginners looking for a rewarding adventure. Our journey starts with gentle forest and moorland paths before we tackle a steeper section up to the summit. Along the way, expect sweeping heather-clad hills, wide open skies, and panoramic views across the Vale of Clwyd, Snowdonia, and the North Wales coast.

At the top, we’ll explore the Jubilee Tower, an iconic (and intriguingly unfinished) landmark built in 1810 to celebrate George III’s Golden Jubilee — now beautifully restored to give visitors even better views.

But this hike is about more than ticking off a summit. It’s about slowing down, connecting with nature, and enjoying a day outdoors with like-minded adventurers — because a good walk with good people really is the best kind of therapy. 🌿💛

And after we’ve soaked up the views and stretched our legs? We’ll celebrate our efforts with a well-earned drink and lunch at a cosy local pub — the perfect chance to warm up, chat, and share hiking stories with new friends. 🍻🔥
