Arrive 6:30pm for refreshments, 7:00pm start

*UPDATED DETAILS*
The Origins of Humanism by means of Naturalism from the ancient World to present-day Shrewsbury
by Madeleine Goodall, Humanists UK Heritage Manager

The title of this talk is a reference to the Darwin’s most famous 1859 book.

Naturalism is the philosophical position that everything in the world, i.e. the universe including us, is best explained by natural laws and forces rather than the supernatural or superstition. So we do not consider there is sufficient evidence to believe in Gods or an afterlife.
