Shut Up and Art: Character
Details
This week, we are pairing art with DnD like fine wine with cheese. All DnD games center on a cast of great characters, but what do those great characters look like? Well, your fearless leaders will bring in resources to help you bring your character (DnD, book, or otherwise) to life!
If DnD ain't you thing (um, but why?), this is still a great exercise in illustrative design. Or you can do your own thing. We're all adults here.
Artists will start gathering at 10am in the VMFA cafe (we’ll have a sign) where we'll chat and socialize while waiting for everyone to arrive. At 10:30, we will head outside to shut up and make art. Afterwards, we'll debrief before adjourning.
Out of respect for museum policy, you may only use graphite in the galleries.
NOTE:
1. If you bring a large backpack, the museum will require you to wear it on your front. It's recommended you travel light.
2. VMFA allows guests to check out and use artist stools from the coat check station. Seating can be sparse in certain galleries.
3. No liquids in the galleries.
