About Ready-Set-Write! We're a meeting of motivated writers who simply want to write in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

Group Update
Change is inevitable, and Ready=Set-Write is no exception. We are evolving our location, our approach, our team and members. Thank you for your patience as we navigate these shifts in the recent past and the foreseeable future. We have found our new writing "home" at Bohème, 21 Rue Sedaine, 75011 close to Bastille so still very central and accessible. It’s a co-working space and is just lovely; spacious, comfortable, offering tea and filter coffee and 2 small private cubicles should anyone wish to have a private telephone call or zoom etc. And, e's a place that we once again can call our home, as the owners have made us extremely welcome
So what we do: Arrive, say hi, chat a bit, then write! Each person works on their own writing project for 45 minutes, then we take a 15-minute break (x3). We ask that everyone respects the silent writing time, as nearby conversations can interrupt creative thought.
What we are NOT: We're Not a forum for shameless self-promotion of our own groups or projects, or sharing or getting critiques of your writing material. If these are your goals, it would be best to try another Meetup group, thank you.
What we require: That our members treat our fellow writers, colleagues and working space workers with equality, kindness, and integrity.

FAQ’s
Q: What if I don’t speak English (or French or another language)? A: Worry not. This is your writing project, so write in whichever language you prefer. Our Hosts speak English and French (some better than others!).
Q: What if I am going to be late joining you? A: We may already be in session. In that case, when you enter, mute the sound, and wait for the host's oh-so-gentle "break time" announcement.
Q: What if I can only write for 3 hours and need to leave? A: No worry. Stay as long as you choose. Please inform us when you arrive.
Q: What if I need to cancel? A: Please cancel ASAP prior to the group, so we can move people from the wait list (if there is one), and inform the coworking space management team.
Q: What is your policy on no-shows? A: We have a three strike policy. Members with three no-shows or last-minute cancellations within 3 months will be removed from our group. Sorry.

When you arrive, just tell the friendly folks at La Boheme reception that you are with the writing group. They will give you a little wooden knick-knack with the wifi codes and a number that they use to determine the cost based on time spent (it's 3,80 € per hour, paid at the end).
Now, about Ready-Set-Write! ...
Ready Set Write! is a regular meeting of motivated writers who grab a beverage, then shut up and write.What it is: An opportunity for writers to get together and do short, intense bursts of writing. We write for 45-ish minutes, take a 15 minute break, rinse & repeat.
What it is NOT: neither a forum for critiquing each other's work, nor shameless self-promoting your projects or groups.
You pay for the time you spend, and have access to coffee, tea, and wifi.AND FINALLY ...
- Register in advance, and only if you will join us in-person.
- Update your RSVP if you cannot make it.
- Please be respectful and considerate with our writing colleagues.
