Shut Up & Write!® in Kelowna - North End

If you’re new here, Welcome! This is a coworking space for writers in your area! Join us for some focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about getting your writing done and meeting other writers in the community.

When you show up, say hello to everyone, grab a drink or a snack (purchases are not required in order to attend) and get your writing tools ready. Once everyone’s arrived, we take the next 15-20 minutes to introduce ourselves, settle into the space, and set any intentions we may have. We then have 1 hour of focused writing. Afterward, we’ll have time to chat and get to know each other some more. We often talk about our successes, challenges and goals as writers. We usually stick around until 2:00pm but if you wish to stay later, feel free to do so as we technically have the space till 3:00pm.

This is not a workshop or class and we don’t host critiques or readings. These events are a safe space for writers of all skill levels and genres to simply work on their craft and build community. so don’t worry, whatever you choose to write is between you and your pencil alone.

📍Locaton: Kelowna Beer Institute at 1346 Water St, Kelowna, BC V1Y 9P4 in the upstairs seeting area.

If you have any mobility limitations, or if stairs simply aren’t your friend, we will meet on the main floor no problem. Just send me a message and we will sort everything out.
