Shut Up & Write!® [Leicester / Gresham Aparthotel]

Welcome to Shut Up and Write! Writers of all experience levels welcome.

Grab your laptop or notebook or whatever you need to write and join us for some focused writing time in the café area in the Gresham Aparthotel (ground floor). Whether it's a novel, short story, poem, essay, or blog post you're working on, all are welcome.

Please note that the aim of this is to create a friendly, productive environment for you to work on your writing; this is not a critique or workshop session so you will not be asked to share your work and no one will see what you've written or give unsolicited advice.

SCHEDULE:
11:30 - Quick introductions
11:45 - Timer starts: write for 45 minutes
12:30 - Break for 15 minutes
12:45 - Timer starts: write for 45 minutes
13:30 - Finish.

If you're running late, that's fine, just get settled and check in with the host when able during a break. Likewise, feel free to leave whenever you need to, just please RSVP ahead of time so we have an idea of numbers.

It's also advisable to bring earphones if you think the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons might distract you.
