“Shut up & Write!” in FUNCHAL 🌻

Please arrive between 3:30pm and 3:50pm at Pátio - Brunch & Bistrô. We begin writing at 4:00pm.

Shut Up and Write is a global community that helps writers overcome procrastination, quiet their inner critic, and make steady progress on their projects. Our meetups offer a structured and welcoming space where writers of all backgrounds can focus on their work and set aside time to write in community.

We usually sit inside near the oversized teddy bear, which makes us easy to find.

We start with a few minutes of introductions, then move into a focused writing period. Afterward, there is a quick optional check-in to share progress. No one reads or critiques your work, this is simply time set aside to write in community.

Attendance and Confirmation
To make sure each meetup runs when there is real interest, the session will only go ahead if at least one person confirms by 10:00am on the day of the event. Early RSVPs are welcome, but the 10:00am confirmation is what officially activates the meetup.

Events will be posted one at a time so the schedule stays flexible and responsive to the group’s availability.
