IMPORTANT HOUSEKEEPING NEWS: The Shut Up & Write organization subsidizes the meetup.com costs, and is migrating events to their own website. I'm not sure if / how long the meetup.com listings will still be available, so please get in the habit to going to

ALSO: the communication function has always been iffy on meetup.com, but I have not yet discovered a way to communicate directly with group members on Shutupwrite.com at all. Thus, I will be setting up an email list. If you wish to be on the list, the best way is to attend an upcoming meeting and let me know.

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday Mornings.

Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.

10:30 ish - Log back in -- touch base and chat about our writing experience, and share writing news.
