Writing Meetup and Social

In July we'll be holding a trial run where we have our Meetup events on every Sunday of the month with a max of 25 attendees, so make a note in your calendar!

If you're not familiar with the concept of Shut Up and Write!, the format is simple; arrive anytime from 10:15 to 10:30 for a quick chat and catch-up. From 10:30 to 12:30 is our quiet writing time, so bring whatever you're comfortable writing with, laptops, notebooks etc. At the end we have a chat for an hour or so, from 12:30 to 13:30.

The location is the 'Wilson Kitchen', the cafe for the Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, we've booked the large curtained room that's to the right behind the back of the cafe counter. As requested by the Wilson staff it's a condition of attending the event that everyone buys a drink, thank you; their drink selection starts from £2.75.

If you're not able to stay till the end of the event, no problem. But I will be restricting the number of attendees to just 25, so please update your RSVP at least two days beforehand if you're no longer able to attend, thank you.

The Waitrose and Tesco parking lots are a short walk away from the town centre (2 and 3 hour parking), and there are also plenty of bus connections. Looking forward to seeing you!
