Shut Up & Write Chicago!

NOTE NEW LOCATION for tonight! Welcome all Chicago Writers! We’ll meetup several times a month in the Loop after work to connect with other writers and have some focused writing time. We'll meet at the Adamus Restaurant & Lounge in the Silversmith Hotel, 10 S. Wabash. Enter the hotel, turn left for the Adamus, and adjacent to the bar is a large lounge area with a long table. I’ll be at the table with a sign.

We’ll start with introductions and share a couple of sentences about your goals for the session. Then we’ll set a timer for 60 minutes and tell everyone to “Shut Up & Write!”

We’re not a critique group, so no pressure, we don’t share our writing after the session unless you’d like to. This is a group for all writers at all levels and genres, from novices to veterans, from poets to sci-fi scribes.

Our meeting time is 5:30-7, writing time starts at 5:45 and ends at 6:45. There’s plenty of time to socialize before and after, and talk about whatever writing-related topics come up. If you’re running late just come on over, sit down and start to write!
