Virtual Meetup: Shut Up & Write -Houston

Join us for an hour of writing from the comfort of your own home.

NOTE - WE ARE USING DISCORD. Please download and sign-in before the meeting. Complete the questions and read the rules. You will be allowed to participate during the hour of the meeting.

We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with others, even if we’re all just hanging out online together. See if it’s true for you at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. And don’t worry, no one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice.

SCHEDULE:
7:00 - Quick intros and intention setting
7:15 - Timer starts: write for an hour
8:15 - (the end) chat / take off / keep writing

WHAT DO I NEED?
A computer with working camera and microphone, a good internet connection, and optionally, headphones.

OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:
You MUST RSVP for the event to get access to the Discord Server link each week. Your Discord screen name MUST match your MeetUp RSVP name. (you can download the app, or use it via web browser)

Technical difficulties are part and parcel of getting together online.
