Shut Up & Write!® Kyoto at Kinder Gallery

【This is an "in-person" event at Kinder Gallery】

Join us for 1 hour and a half of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 14:00 P.M on Fri, July 20,2025. Please note it is the different place and the date as usual.

SCHEDULE:
14:00 - Quick introductions

14:15 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour and a half

15:45 - The End: chat, take off, or keep writing

Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens between 15:45-16:00.

Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.

BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.

7mins walk from Keihan line Keihan Sanjo/Kyoto City Subway Sanjo station.

There is the gallery bar space at the first floor of the bookstore and find this event's organizer Saeko.

-Please thank the the gallery bar by ordering drinks.( It's around 400~600yen). Cash only.

Cash only. It is better to prepare the exact amount.

What Should I Bring?

Whatever you need to be able to write!

-Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the overhead sounds around us or the occasional conversation by other people.

-Bring any other things that make you comfortable.

Other Important Details:

-There is outlet and Free Wi-Fi. But pre-charged laptop is preferable.

「京阪三条駅」下車→北東出口（BOOK OFFビル）を出て川端通りを北上→フレスコを越えて一筋目（仁王門通り）を東に約150メートル→大タヌキのいる通り（交差点の角に、緑の看板あり）を北へ120歩→きんだあらんど到着

【京都市バス】
「新間ノ町二条」下車→(二条川端郵便局の向かい街路樹の下に緑の看板あり）新間之町通りを南に120歩→きんだあらんど到着
「東山二条」下車→二条通りを西へ約150メートル→ジャスコと二条川端郵便局の間の通り（街路樹の下に、緑の看板あり）を南に120歩→きんだあらんど到着

＊ギャラリー併設のバーで１ドリンク注文お願いします。400円〜600円程度です。現金のみ、なるべくお釣りの無いように小銭・小額紙幣でご準備ください。

＊周囲の音が気になる場合は耳栓、寒さ対策など心地よく過ごすためのグッズをご自由にお持ちください。Wi-Fiあります。電源は限りがあるため、できればよく充電したPCをお持ちください。
