Shut Up & Write!® Northside

Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.

SCHEDULE:
5:30 - Quick introductions and setup
5:40 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour
6:45 - The End. Quick check-in and goodbyes.

OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 7 pm. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with me after the session. We meet in the area toward the back of the library that has the tall stained glass window. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.

What Should I Bring?
Whatever you need to be able to write! You may want to come with a fully charged laptop, tablet, or other device, as outlets may not be available. Of course, writing the old-fashioned way is also encouraged.

You may also want to bring a water bottle with a lid, headphones, a sweater, or anything else you need for comfort.

Other Important Details:
This is the Old North Bar inside Greyline Station. There are outlets and plugs throughout the space for folks to use.
Look for the folks with laptops and the Shut up and Write Signs in the couch/ lounge area.
Parking is available in the Greyline Station West parking lot or on the street.
