Welcome to your local session of Shut Up & Write!
Bring your laptop, notebook, napkin, phone, piece of found cardboard - whatever you need to write down your thoughts. This is the group to help you get your writing actually done!
With everything going on in life, this is your hour to write it all down with zero excuses. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about focused work and meeting fellow writers.
Show up, grab a drink, take a few minutes before the event to chat with your fellow writers. We'll do some quick intros, start a timer, and get those fingers moving.
Afterward, you can stick around to celebrate or commiserate - it's up to you! If you don’t have time to stick around, no worries! If you need to leave early, no problem either, please just sneak out as to not interrupt the flow.

A note about the format
This is a place for you to concentrate on whatever you are working on, with as little stress as possible.
We don’t host critiques or readings. These events are a safe space for writers of all skill levels and genres to work on their craft. You're welcome to chat with a fellow writer at the event to exchange works after if you'd like, but the goal of this group is to get down to the dirty work of writing.
