Shut Up & Write!® Greenford Tuesdays

Whether you're working on a PhD, journal article, book, grant application, dissertation, or any other writing project, you're welcome to join us for a relaxed and productive co-working session.
Shut Up & Write is designed to help you make meaningful progress on your writing in a supportive, distraction-free environment. There is no pressure to share your work, everyone writes independently, at their own pace.

What to Expect
Arrive & Settle In
Please arrive a few minutes early to grab a drink, find a comfortable spot, and get your writing materials ready. This is also a great opportunity to introduce yourself and meet the other attendees.

Welcome & Goal Setting
We'll begin with a brief welcome and introductions before everyone sets a writing goal for the session.

Focused Writing
We'll then begin our timed, quiet writing session, giving everyone uninterrupted time to focus and make meaningful progress.

Connect Afterwards
At the end of the session, you're welcome to stay for an informal chat. We often celebrate progress, discuss writing challenges, exchange ideas, and support one another. If you need to head off straight after the writing session, that's absolutely fine.

Supporting Our Venue
We're very grateful to Kiosk GQ for generously providing their space free of charge for our Shut Up & Write sessions.
To help support the venue, we kindly ask that everyone purchases at least one drink or item from the café during the session. We also ask that you do not bring or consume outside food or drinks while using the space.
Your support helps us continue to use this fantastic venue and keep these sessions free for everyone.

A note about the format
We don’t host critiques or readings. These events are a safe space for writers of all skill levels and genres to work on their craft, so no one will read or critique your writing.

Limited free on-street parking is available on nearby residential roads. Please check local parking restrictions and signage before leaving your vehicle.

Finding the Venue
The session will take place at Kiosk GQ, located within the Greenford Quay development overlooking the Grand Union Canal. Look for The Glassworks building—Kiosk GQ is on the ground floor.
