Shut Up & Write Fridays @ Bean Gallery

*Due to a change at our previous location, we are currently in the process of finding a new location to host our events. In the meantime, for at least this event only we will meet at the Bean Gallery located at 637 N Carrollton Ave, New Orleans. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Our mission is to provide a place for writers to sit together and work on their projects. It will amaze you how motivating it is simply to be in the company of your fellow writers! And, you will see progress, even if you only spend one hour per week on your writing. Whether you are in the brainstorming phase or working on your final draft, this is the group to get things done.

THE SCHEDULE:

6:30 - 7:15 PM: Arrival (Look for our Shut Up and Write sign), chit-chat, purchase refreshments, etc.
7:15 - 7:25 PM: Announcements and introductions
7:25 - 8:25 PM: WRITING (No talking, please. Hence the title of the group)
8:25 - 8:40 PM: Finish writing, chit chat, introduce latecomers, etc.

LATECOMERS: It's fine if you arrive late, but if you do please quietly take a seat and begin writing. You will have a chance to introduce yourself to the host and fellow writers at the end of the session.

After the writing session is over, feel free to stay and keep writing or get to know one another. Mojo Coffee is open until 9 PM on Fridays.

NOTE: There may not be any available electrical outlets, so make sure your electronic devices are fully charged.
