Shut Up & Write Vancouver [In Person]

Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to join us and write surrounded by fellow writers working on their own projects. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. This is about carving out quiet time for yourself and your ideas. After writing for a couple of hours, we chat and connect. There is no reading or critique, just an accepting, supportive, and judgment-free community of writers of all levels.

SCHEDULE

10:00am to 12:00 pm: Take a seat anywhere you want in the Pat Graham room on the 8th floor and start writing, it's that simple :) This room is a shared space with other people not attending our Meetup. You can arrive at anytime, so don't worry about being late: this is YOUR individual writing time and we don't meet and greet until this writing time is over.

12:00 pm to 1:00pm Group Chat (optional). An announcement will be made that we are leaving and we will gather outside the Pat Graham room. You can join us or continue writing. We then move to one of the smaller private VPL meeting rooms (usually 6th floor North and/or South) for about 1 hour. We typically discuss writing challenges and connect as a community on relevant topics of the day. You're free to chime in or just sit and listen.
