Take a break from the grind! Welcome to Side Quests for Tech Folks, a playful group for people in tech: developers, designers, product managers, and beyond.
You’re invited to join us for side quests, each a chance to unwind, make new friends, and explore the human side of tech. From game nights and role-playing game style adventures to nature walks, coworking, and coffee chats, we create playful, low-pressure spaces to relax, discuss, and grow, online and in person.
Hosted by The Party, a playful community by HuMindWise, dedicated to helping folks in tech grow through connection, support, and soft skill adventures.

Level Up Lansing: An Extra Life Game Day
Hoplite Games, 2024 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI, USJoin HuMindWise and Lansing Codes for a full day of games, connection, and giving back!
We’re bringing together local tech and gaming folks to raise funds for Sparrow’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital through Extra Life, part of the Children’s Miracle Network. Every donation per game rental and raffle ticket helps kids get the care they need.
When: Saturday, November 8, 10 AM – 6 PM
Where: Hoplite Games, 2010 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912
Who: Local tech folks, gamers, and anyone interested in playing or supporting kids through Extra Life
Cost: Suggested $1 donation per game rental; raffle tickets $5 each or 5 for $20
Extras: Light snacks & refreshments providedIf you’re into board games, card games, or just love the idea of playing for a cause, this is your chance to connect and make a tangible impact in your community.
100% of proceeds go to Sparrow’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital through Extra Life

We’ll be creating digital cards for celebration, appreciation, or just a little motivation, using playful premade illustrations and your 🌈 imagination 🌈.
This is a low pressure workshop to hang out virtually and practice creativity. Camera on is always welcome, but optional!
You can save and share your creations or print them to send later. No tools or prep needed; just show up and make!
We’ll be using assets from the CNVS library by Lucie Agolini for this workshop. These are for your personal use only and no commercial rights are granted. See you then!
