 Jennings forest Dunn's creek/Pioneer trail

Details

This hike will be an early start to beat the heat, about 4 to 5.5 miles but you're more than welcome to do more if you wish . The area we are meeting is the secondary sand parking lot off Powell Frd road, I pinned it on the map ,if you take Nolan road north from state road 218 heading north , the road will turn into Powell FRD road heading west towards the trails parking lot but if you think you need to follow me to the parking area you need to contact me by text ,904 517 2321 Vic. The trail is a loop using part of Dunn's Farm trail and Pioneer trail to work on hiking down and up steep terrain, mileage will be around 5.5 miles more or less . I'm rehabing my hip plus getting trail ready for our September Sidetrackers Fall trip in Tennessee and Georgia plus also I'm trying to keep the heat and direct sunlight off of us by staying under hardwood canopy . The area we're hiking is a bit of pine trees, sand scrubs and lots of hardwood trees with lots of bird life and small critters ,bring good shoes for the parts of the trails that are sandy and not hard packed ,temperatures will be hot so dress accordingly and bring water ,,,, again bring Water or Gatorade. Any questions text me at 904 517 2321 Vic.
