Let’s plan a trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park to experience the stunning fall colors and enjoy some hiking. Mid-October is typically the best time to catch the vibrant foliage and take advantage of the crisp, cool weather—perfect for hiking.

I’ve already made an Airbnb reservation that accommodates six people in Burnsville, NC, a charming mountain town northeast of Asheville, NC. It’s a great location with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and close to Mount Mitchell—the highest peak east of the Mississippi.

We’re organizing a carpool for this trip—to discuss further, leave comments.
The lodging can accommodate only six people so whoever pays $150 first get to go and four people have already paid.
