Camping Stephen C Foster State Park in Georgia

Time to get in some camping time in so here's your opportunity to camp ,rv or get a cabin , if you need camping gear just post on the site and we can get what you need .There's some availability but won't last long so reserve quickly and may sure it's Stephen C Foster not the Eco Lodge 15 miles away .There's at least 4 cabins and 10 campsites and RV sites available. Stephen C Foster is in Georgia on the edge of the Okefenokee swamp, because it is miles from the cities it has one of the best areas at night for star gazing as well as lots of wildlife and yes alligators. The park has great cabins and camping ,kayaking, some hiking and if you don't feel like paddling there jonboats to rent out as well as park Ranger lead tour of the swamp . Reserving campsites is you're priority, snooze you lose, campsites are available but can be gone in 24 hours, campsites to reserve available are sites 6 thru 13 as well as others farther down the line and a few cabins are available for renting ,I believe they have capacity for 4 folks. This is a great time to work on camping and temperatures are looking great. If all possible try to split your campsites if you have a small tent in case the campsites get scarce . Dont be shy about adking around to borrow camping gear or if you have a large vehicle, there's car camping. I will probably do a kayak to where we can hike,a short night hike and star gazing and I'll look into the jonboat rentals and guided tours. Weather, who knows it can be 50 to 60 degrees or colder as well as 70 degrees. Be prepared for the weather and we should have a great time. If you plan on getting to the park late on Friday, I'm sure we can get folks to help you set up camp. Directions to the state park are pretty simple but you may want to write down all the driving instructions because cell phone service is non existing the closer you get to the State Park, just warning you as well as have a full tank of gas as well as the closest town might not have a grocery store or gas station.
