Etionah Creek State Forest hike

Etoniah Creek State forest hike along the Florida Trail , this is a fairly easy Trail with a good amount of shade. The forest has numerous wildlife and diverse landscapes such as deer,Bobcats, coyotes, indigo snakes, raccoons , hawks and occasional panther . The forest is an assortment of pine flatwoods ,swamps and Sandhills and home to the rare Etonia Rosemary and indigo plant. This hike will start at the Florida Trail kiosk just off Holloway road on Field house road ,bring good hiking shoes and dress for the weather, we definitely will hike west to where the Rosemary grows and then head back east to find the Florida Trail overnight shelter before we head back to finish hike. We probably get a bite to eat in nearby Keystone Heights or Palatka and I'm checking into the State forest hiking program where you can get a patch and medallion to put on your walking stick, you must hike certain hikes at 5 state forest and log in hikes. The parking area requires paying a day use of $2 a day or $45 annual pass good for a year and six folks.
